Christ of Sinai – Hand-Painted Orthodox Icon

A hand-painted Orthodox icon of Christ of Sinai, inspired by the renowned icon preserved at the Monastery of Saint Catherine in Sinai.

One of the most distinctive features of the icon is the slightly asymmetrical depiction of Christ’s face. The two sides of the face present different expressions: one appears more stern and solemn, while the other appears gentler and more compassionate. This striking contrast creates a profound sense of depth and invites contemplation of the fullness of Christ’s divine and human nature.

Christ is depicted facing the viewer, holding the Holy Gospel and raising His right hand in blessing. The icon is painted on a hand-carved, recessed wooden panel and features genuine 23.75-carat Italian gold.
